BCB announces Asia Cup squad

Dhaka, Mar 5 - The BCB has announced the following squad for the Asia Cup 2012, says a Board press release. 

All the players including the standbys are requested to report for training to Bangladesh coach Stuart Law at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur at 8:30am on Wednesday. 

The captain and vice captain will be declared shortly. 

SQUAD: 

Imrul Kayes, Nazim Uddin, Jahurul Islam, Mushfiqur Rahim, Shakib Al Hasan, Mahmud Ullah, Nasir Hossain, Masrafe Bin Mortaza, Abdur Razzak, Md Elias, Nazmul Hossain, Shafiul Islam, Shahadat Hossain, Anamul Hoque 

Standbys: Tamim Iqbal, Shuvagata Hom, Farhad Reza, Enamul Haque, Muminul Haque, Abul Hasan 

TICKETS GO SALE TUESDAY 

Meanwhile, tickets for the tournament will go on sale from Tuesday. This was announced at a media briefing on Monday. The City Bank Limited, ticketing partners of the BCB for the tournament, will be responsible for selling and distributing tickets across Bangladesh. 

"Tickets will be sold through 21 branches of City Bank in six divisions. We have successfully completed the ticketing operations of high-profile events like the ICC Cricket World Cup and the BPL. We hope to make the entire process easier and more convenient for the spectators at the Asia Cup," said Dewan Shafiul Arefin, member secretary Asia Cup 2012 local tournament committee. 

Sohail R K Hossain, additional managing director and chief business officer of The City Bank Limited said: "We at City Bank are extremely pleased to be once again associated with Bangladesh Cricket Board. We have over the years developed the necessary processes and skill sets needed to handle ticket sales for these high profile events." 

A member of the public can buy two tickets per match. No photo ID is required to purchase a ticket.

MICROMAX INFORMATICS BAGS TITLE SPONSORSHIP 

Away in New Delhi, Micromax Informatics Limited has bagged the title sponsorship for Asia Cup tournament for the second consecutive year. 



Nimbus Sport and Micromax has entered into an agreement and the event will be now titled as Micromax Asia Cup 2012.
